So, in October of 2005 Brad Pitt divorced Jennifer Aniston amid allegation's that Brad had left her for the notoriously beautiful, mysterious and rebellious Angelina Jolie, and the world was introduced to our first social media "teams" you were either #TEAMJOLIE or #TEAMANISTON.

Paris & Nicky Hilton even wore t-shirts which became a huge trend, no matter who you were, you were on a team, and since then the #teamjolie crew have been celebrating their victory. With Brad and Angie being parents to six children, making movies together, directing each other in films, and officially tying the knot, #teamjolie thought they had it in the bag.

Meanwhile, #teamaniston was suffering blow after blow, Jen became #poorjen. Always alone, or in and out of relationships, no kids... she was constantly bombarded and questioned about her role in #brangelina's life. She actually had to come out to the media and say "enough with this "poor Jen", I'm great!". And we have to kind of agree.

Jen- who has been actively working in films since the split has gone on to marry Justin Theroux (super hottie), and has even written for the Huffington Post addressing societies miscued view of women thanks to the dangerous world of tabloids and media speculations.

"This past month in particular has illuminated for me how much we define a woman’s value based on her marital and maternal status. The sheer amount of resources being spent right now by press trying to simply uncover whether or not I am pregnant (for the bajillionth time... but who’s counting) points to the perpetuation of this notion that women are somehow incomplete, unsuccessful, or unhappy if they’re not married with children. In this last boring news cycle about my personal life there have been mass shootings, wildfires, major decisions by the Supreme Court, an upcoming election, and any number of more newsworthy issues that “journalists” could dedicate their resources towards. Here’s where I come out on this topic: we are complete with or without a mate, with or without a child..."

So here we are in 2016, Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce sighting "irreconcilable differences" and Brad has released this statement;

"I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well being of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."
-Brad Pitt

Interestingly, Jolie has also asked for full custody of the children, which is sending the web into a frenzy, every journalist is looking for the "close source" to give more details, many are saying Jolie is sick of Brad's weed addiction, alcohol addiction and violent behaviour. i'll be there for you

Look. whatever the reason for the divorce, we are all bummed. Brad and Angie, #brangelina are no more. They were pretty amazing together and created some heavenly children. We hope they may work through this, and we are so sorry Jen that you are dragged into their life again but this is more about the #teamanistons than it is you.

#TeamAniston, we can't help but feel that the following is how you reacted today;

Some cheers and passive aggressive sympathy smiles.

And how did Mrs Jennifer Aniston Theroux react? Well we don't know yet, but personally I like to imagine her doing this. ..

But realistically, it's been over a decade now, she's moved on. And, as much as we don't want to include her in this unfortunate narrative, she will somehow always be a part of the story.  Our bet is she's too busy and, probably too nice to indulge in the breakdown of her ex's marriage.

Sending love to Brad and Ange, your love will live on in our heart's. <3 LB.
